Introduction

The iron run consists of collecting iron, processing it into iron ingots, and selling the finished product to the iron trader. Being a legal run, this run will not get you into any trouble with the Altis police and is eligible for speed and profit bonuses when doing this run with a Worker's Protection License (WPL).

Starting the Run

Before starting this run, it is strongly recommended to check the price of Iron for optimal profits and to have all of your equipment operational and ready to go. A Pickaxe, purchasable at gas stations and markets, is needed to mine the iron and collect it. Other recommended equipment would be a Bergen backpack (most space), food & water, and a large vehicle to store the most iron (SUV, Truck Boxer, Zamak Truck). Once everything is ready, head to the Iron mine and begin collecting iron ore by pressing the Windows key when in the mine’s immediate area.

Processing

Once iron ore has been loaded and collected, it needs to be refined into an iron ingot to be sold for money. From the iron mine, heading east via the main road or dirt roads will lead to the iron processing location. Once here, iron ore can be turned into ingots via scrollwheel option on the main processor device inside the processing building. Selling

Finally, after the ingots have been collected post-processing, they can be taken to Iron Trader next to DP 12, north of Neochori. With all of the iron ingots on hand, using the scrollwheel option on the Iron Trader NPC will sell all of the goods and directly deposit money into the inventory. This money is not deposited into the player bank; the money must be stored via an ATM to be in a player’s bank. If death or robbery occurs with this money on hand, it can be lost or taken by other players.

Extras

This run takes approximately 26 minutes to complete with a Truck Boxer and Bergen backpack addon from starting at the nearest truckstop to the moment the iron ingots are sold. The “Iron Maners” gang is very prevalent in this run. Despite wearing top-tier gear, they are often willing to lend a hand with protection or assistance in completing the run Due to high levels of humidity in Altis, domestic iron is often treated to prevent corrosive damage Altis iron has been discovered in many illegal firearms production sites, with no apparent link to any mining group or company
